ECU Programming: This LAUNCH X431 Pad V diagnostic scanner can be used as a J2534 ECU programming tool, thanks to its newly-developed Smartlink C VCI. It helps upgrade the OEM software and replace the existing software/firmware in the Electronic Control Units (ECU), Backup/Restore data from original ECUs, so to fix software-controlled drivability and emission issues.

• J2534 Reprogramming

1. As a Local J2534 PassThru Device, the SmartLink C VCI can work together with the PC installed with the OEM diagnostic software to perform the J2534 reprogramming. In this case, the PC needs to install with the LAUNCH’s J2534 tool, which can be downloaded from launch web site.
