Both VVDI Super chips support the same anti-theft chip types incl. 46, 8A, 8C, 8E, 4C, 4D, 4E, 48, 7935, 7936, 11/12/13. The main difference is that VVDI Super Chip XT27B supports chip 47, 49, 4A and MQB while XT27A does not support.

Part II: How to Reset Xhorse VVDI Super Chip to reuse?

The VVDI super chip has to be reset to reuse them.

Follow the steps below:

Step 1: Put the VVDI super chip into the related keytool and open the Xhorse APP

Step 2: Go to keytool and select ‘Special Functions’

Step 3: Select ‘Set type of VVDI super transponder’

Step 4: Scroll down to Reset VVDI super chip. It’s the last option on that page, tap set.

You also can skip the step 4 and directly set as any specific chip.

For example:

Set VVDI Super Chip XT27B as MQB on Xhorse Key Tool Plus

• Go to VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad, select Special Function>> Set type of VVDI super transponder>> Set as MQB

Note: Only XT27B can be set as MQB, XT27A cannot do that.

Part III: How to clone VVDI Super Chip?

Step 1: Enter the ‘Chip Copy’ function menu

Step 2: Put the original key into the coil of the VVDI Key Tool and read the data of the original key

Step 3: Remove the original key, put the Xhorse Super Chip XT27A or XT27B into the induction coil, click the ‘Clone’ function, then click ‘Start’ to start cloning

Step 4: Cloning is complete
