-Automatically scan the VIN code to obtain vehicle information
-Obtain model information by scanning the VIN barcode on the nameplate
-Scan the license plate number to confirm the model, if you can't scan it, you need to enter it manually

Extensive Transponder Functions:

1. Transponder Reading: access to some basic information of the key, including chip type, IMMO type, transponder ID, locking status, and code mode.

2.Transponder Cloning: detect the transponder and vehicle informationin order to decrypt a code which shall be used to directly clone and generate a functional transponder for your vehicle. The whole process saves the trouble of using the old OBD approach.

3.Transponder Editing:read and edit transponder information such as its configurations and EEPROM data. Choose an IMMO type (which can be accessed by the transponder reading function) and start editing according to your needs.

4.Transponder Generation: generate a transponder accommodating different protocols or models using a blank transponder.

5.Transponder Simulation: used to simulate the KM100 as a transponder using a variety of IMMO protocols. This function is particularly useful when your vehicle needs emergency start or such.

6.Conversion between Ford ID63 & ID83: especially designed for the conversion between two types of Ford transponder — ID63 and ID83.

Q: Autel KM100, can generate Xhorse super chip XT27?
A: You can not use Autel KM100E to generate Xhorse VVDI Super Chip directly
1. First you need generate Xhorse XT27 superchip on Xhorse VVDI Key Tool, like Htag-2
2. And after this you need to move XT27 to Autel KT100 and generate it as ID48-Megamos for example  

Q: Can the Autel KM100 only work with smart keys be used?  Can he do normal keys with transponder, and with metal blade for old cars?
A: It works with both smart key and mechanical key. In general, we recommend new keys. It can generate transponder

Q:  I want to create a clone of ID48. Is it possible?
A:  No, Autel KM100 can not create a clone of ID48

Q: For Autel KM100, can i use the after-markets keys in the market or not? Or I must use Autel iKey?
A:  For "universal key generation", you must use Autel IKEYS, for other functions, there is no limit

Q:  Autel KM100 can clone id46 and id44 transponders?
A:  ID46 chip is able to read password only, can not clone. ID44 chip is unable to clone. Autel KM100E only support ID46, ID44 chip simulation

· KM100 has better coverage than Xhorse in Dacia, Fiat, Honda, Benz, Open and Suzuki. KD-X2 has more coverage than KM100 in Alfa, Geely, Jaguar, Lada, Landrover, Lincoln, Maserati, Mini, Rolls Royce, Smart, VW etc.
· KM100 simulates ID46 47 48 49 8A chips, KH100+ can simulate 4D 46 48 47 chip.  xhorse does not.
· Xhorse Mini key tool is able to collect FSK and ASK frequency data to analyze the remote when the remote has got some problem.
· KM100 cannot copy ID48 or ID48 96bit transponder yet. Key Tool Max requires 10 remotes to activate the license.

· KD and KH100 can be purchased for backup as they have other advantages.You can use Lonsdor KH100+ to create smart fob for lexus toyota and use the VVdi to clone and unlock lexus toyota smart fob.KH100 – can make some Toyota smart keys (can copy 8a toyota smart key directly) and is the only key tool that can read properly 902Mhz frequency on some USA remotes. 
· Keydiy kd-x2 can generate some remotes that missing on Xhorse and the time for ID48 cloning is few minutes than over 1 hour with xhorse.Xhorse failed to clone PCF7935 transponder, keydiy and kh100 without problem.
· KM100 is a good programmer for simple stuff, good coverage and alot quicker than im608 for many things.
· The XHorse has more keys it can generate. Both tools are supplementary and very affordable
· Autel has a lot that neither one has, plus the autel universal keys have OEM looking keys, and real close. And it is supposed to do the 902mhz, so since xhorse and keydiy both don’t support it.
· Autel is much better organized and has a lot more information on each key Xhorse can be a bit of a confusing mess.
· Autel has 6-button keys. But xhorse has lots of features. Xhorse Keytool so far best and largest support for car models and largest amount for keys.
· So you will need 2-3 different items or more. To be sure to do the job, with one of them.

How to Use Autel MaxiIM KM100 and the original key to generate and add a new smart key to a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 2019 successfully

Step 1.Generate universal smart key
Plug the Autel VCI into the vehicle’s OBD2 port
It runs through Bluetooth and has an alarm there
Put the key into the coil of MaxiIM KM100
Tap Universal key>> Mitsubishi>> Mitsubishi Eclipse cross 2018- 2020 433.92 MHz FSK ID47>> Generate Universal Key
It takes about 30- 45 seconds to generate key.
After 30 seconds, the key is generated successfully.


Step 2.Program smart key
Back to the main menu of KM100
Make sure the VCI has been removed from the vehicle’s OBDII port
Tap IMMO>> Mitsubishi>> Manual selection>> Australia>> Eclipse Cross>> 2018- >> Smart Key

Confirm the vehicle profile
Tap Vehicle immo information
You can see the related key information and OBD position

Then tap Hot function>> Key learning (Guided)
Press ‘Start’ to perform the following function automatically
Step 1: Read pin
Step 2: Immo security verification
Step 3: Synchronous engine data
Step 4: Key learning
Insert a learned smart key into the key card slot
The key card slot is near the bottom of the steering wheel or in the co pilot storage compartment. If there is no card slot, close the key to the start button.
Here we press the key to the start button
Turn the ignition on
It takes about 20 seconds.
Learn key successfully
Put the new universal smart key onto the start button
Key learning is successful.

Remove the working key out of the vehicle
Press the button on the new smart key
Press the start button
Stat the car normally
Test the original key, works good as well.
