I see the new autel im508 have bidirectional function. Can the older im508 I purchased be upgraded to bidirectional？

I have autel im508 about 4 weeks, it is in keys are good, in immo i NOT check realy, in diagnostic are .....ZERO --- 0000 WORK ABOUT 2012 GOOD VERY GOOD from audi a4 year 2005 or passat 2000, or boxer 2001, 206 hdi 2002 REALY

i am so happy with the im508 xp400pro. For all immo operations, it is exactly like the IM608.
The only advantage of the IM608, is the mechanical and ECU programming . I hope that this helped.

after two years, you still can use the old software which you download inside your tablet, if you want o use newest update software, need pay for new update subscription, it is around 300USD/YEAR

While trying to add key in VW Golf (when reading immo data), it says"server maintenance in progress, retry in 999h", could you help?

Hi, our advanced VW immo 4 and immo4+mqb calculating services is still affected due to the VW service strategies, please ask for this immo data from VW dealer. but in expert selection menu, which is still continue to work. 
such as:
1. Immo IV instrument CAN (15type )
2. Instrument K-line (17type)
3. MQB (VDO NEC 35XX, add key)
4. Comford module Passat B6/CC
5. Kessy -VW (Phaeton/Touareg)
6. Immo V Touareg, Immo V Audi.
